With malls selling identical products at almost identical prices, how would one attract the consumers? According to research, consumers make their choice based on the quality of service they experience while at the mall. Retail Managers oversee everything in a mall, right from how the sales staff speak and behave to how the merchandise is displayed, to the ambience and more.
According to a recent study, organized retail will constitute 10% of total retailing across India by 2010. From 2006 to 2010, the organized sector would grow at an estimated 49.53% per annum. Let's see just exactly what numbers these reports translate to. We're looking at 500+ malls and 200+ hypermarkets to be up by 2010. Currently, the retail industry has 70,000+ jobs available on its shelves for middle management positions. With the buying capacity of the Indian consumer on a steady upswing over the recent years, the future of the Retail Industry is promising.
